And yet....eventually, they will rally around the Egwene scrubbing floors all day, who is the Amyrlin of the Broken Tower... perhaps this is another curious foreshadowing?
Egwene was never a broken Amyrlin. She did what she had but was not broken. Siuan is talking about how it is her belief that any Amyrlin who scrubs floors must be broken if she is doing so. It is (yet another) failing of Suian, both in general and as Amyrlin.
Idk, that might be more a reflection of everything Siuan had to go through to become who she became. Tear had a massive top down society. Added to that, she had to become Amyrlin with the knowledge that the darkness was actively undermining the Tower's efforts to identify and protect the Dragon Reborn and at a time when the world was recovering from war. Her from of leadership was different from Egwene's. Siuan also did what she had to, and the way she had to do it meant that she didn't have the liberty to appear any less than what she was. Egwene also had the benefit of there being disagreement within the physical Tower with how authoritative those in charge had become. All they needed was to see that one person respected them and would keep fighting even when no one else would
Regardless, I don't see the comments as foreshadowing. In fact, some of the points you made seem to support my conclusion. That said, I'm not trying to convince anyone, just offering my view.
Exactly and she managed that change even while scrubbing floors in contrast to Siuan’s perspective. So I saw it as a foreshadowing in that a characters says something cannot happen or be…then it definitely happens.
