After more than 3 years of serving as our Survey Project Manager, Mirandha Sedai will be retiring from the position to enjoy more of her life outside of the Realm of Surveys™. Dha has done so much great work for our department and the community, and I am so sorry that she will be moving on. (But I shall continue to hug her and talk with her about things other than surveys; I won't let her go completely. :kiss ) Thank you, Dha, for all of your hard work over the past few years!

Overview:
This is an Administrative position within the Department of Administration. The SPM will work closely with the Director of Administration and will manage the staff on the Survey Team to create, run, and analyze our annual Membership Survey.

Mirandha Sedai will work in tandem with the new hire on the upcoming Membership/Integration Survey. This will allow for on-the-job training and the opportunity to work through the entire process alongside our experienced SPM.

The work of the SPM is cyclical, like most roles within the Department of Administration. The work load is high during survey creation time and the following analysis, and then may have little to no work for several months until it is time to gear up for the next survey depending on need.

This year's MS will be held at a different time as our survey material will be different. Normally, the MS is held around late Jan/early Feb with preparation beginning a couple of months prior and analysis stretching a couple of months after.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Administration to create, run, and analyze our annual Membership Survey,
- Manage the Survey Team and Statisticians to create survey questions and to ensure proper data analysis upon survey completion,
- Maintain and populate Lime Survey software with questions,
- Clean survey data before sending to Survey Team and Statisticians for analysis,
- Compile and edit sections analyzed by Survey Team members into a single cohesive document,
- Work with the Survey Team and Statisticians to provide an Executive Summary for the Board and Execs for the Administrative Meeting,
- Expand on Executive Summary to create full report to be provided to the membership,
- Liaise with other departments for updates to the questions in their sections annually,
- Work with Marketing to prepare graphics and activities surrounding the survey including building anticipation and encouraging participation in the survey, and
- Additional duties as needed.

Requirements:
- Must be a Senior Member,
- Must have taken the Membership Survey in the past at least once,
- Must be willing to spend +/- 10 hours a week during survey time, with higher time needed immediately prior and immediately after the survey has run,
- Be knowledgeable, or willing to learn, about our survey software: Lime Survey,
- Must be organized,
- Must be able to work on a deadline, and
- Must be trustworthy, discreet, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.

If you are interested in applying for this position, please e-mail administration@tarvalon.net, keeper@tarvalon.net, and amyrlin@tarvalon.net with the subject line "APPLICATION - SPM - YOUR NAME HERE" no later than March 31, 2015.

In your application, tell us how you meet the requirements, your thoughts on past Membership Surveys (any that you have taken), and how we could work to improve them and to advertise the survey effectively.

Have questions? Send me an e-mail. :D

:hug thank you both!

:hugCallie. In all honesty, the best part of this job was working with you. I know I owe you an email, but you already know I'm a slacker when it comes to writing back
