Hiring: Mayor

I don't think that I'm ready for a position like that, but I have been an Assistant Director and Interim Director for our programs (TVRN) in the past. Is there some sort of Mayor's Deputy role that I could look into, where I could contribute and assist the Mayor proper while familiarizing myself with the role and tasks? Thanks for any information!

The Welcoming Committee reports directly to the Mayor and is broken into three specialties - Greeters, Scribes, and City Architects.
