Hello!
I have been idling in your irc channel for a couple of months now (with another nick) so I figured I might as well create an account. The name Garath comes pretty much from Gareth Bryne, an old seasoned warrior that had to do to much politics, and also from my old WoW character, a grey haired Orcish hunter with scars. Cuhan is strictly from a Rand quote in The Fires of Heaven, Chapter 44: "I remember when he was first named Destroyer of Hope. After he betrayed the Gates of Hevan, and carried the Shadow down into the Rorn M'doi and the heart of Satelle. Hope did seem to die that day. Culan Cuhan wept". We didn't get to know much more than that but it sounded like something I could have done in frustration and I have always liked that line.
I started reading WoT back in 1994, middle school. In the past I have been a member in other communities that have died of during the years (Atari WoT community, Dragonsworn.net (?), Dragonmount etc.) - it has brought me both joy and sorrow. But nowadays I'm in my middle 30s. I live in a Nordic country and I speak a couple of languages but I prefer English. I got a family and two kids. I like computers and work with everything between from digital construction to wetware. I also got a longer science degree to go with that. I have been fighting a form of blood cancer for a couple of years; almost killed me, but only almost so far... I guess the later made me go back to old habits and friends.
Not sure how much time I'll spend around here but to some level a registration feelt required.
