Fundraiser matching opportunity!

So. Do you have a payday this week or next weekend? Were you waiting for that payday to donate to the Tower? Have you been thinking "Gee, I could donate, but I just don't have much, man, it's hardly worth it"? Are you waiting for August 1st to get paid? Have you already donated, but were thining you might could squeeze a little more out of your wallet?

If you answered "Yes" to any of the above, do I have an offer for you!!!

We have a member who has offered to match all donations that are recieved in a 48 hour period up to $1000. I am not above advertising the hell out of it, and doing my best to squeeze every last penny I can out of that $1000 offer.

So! The 48 hour period will start at Midnight MST next Saturday night, will run all of Sunday July 31st, Monday August 1st, and will end at midnight MST Monday night. We will also count any and all mailed contributions that are post marked Monday August 1st.

So let's make the most of this!

So, just to clarify - if we bring in one thousand dollars from Midnight Friday through Midnight Monday of this coming weekend, it'll be good for a total of TWO thousand dollars, which, added to the $797 already raised would put us under $300 of our total goal roughly two weeks early?

I think it's just the money donated this coming weekend, Aldus. So if in the 48 hour window we raise, say, 500 dollars, it would be matched 500 dollars. Not the cumulative amount.

If, from midnight next Saturday night, to midnight Monday, we raise $1000, our benefactor will donate an additional $1000. For a total of $2000. If we raise less, our benefactor will match whatever it is. So 234.76 would become 469.52.

But that would make me sad.

Ok, so a note on donations:

I have done fundraising for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society twice now for their Team in Training. Please believe me when I say that EVERY SINGLE PENNY COUNTS. Whatever you can donate DOES add up. I have raised over $400 in spare change and ones for the LLS, and it was all literally in change. So, donate what you can.
