Well met and thank you!
Hi hi!Welcome to Tar Valon!
Have you read anything by Brandon Sanderson?
Welcome Merleen! Siuan is such a good choice, there is so much to admire in her.
What kind of engineering do you do? I'm an engineer too so always interested!
crashes that happen because of weird user moves, hehe
We released a machine with a custom software to production about 2 months ago. About 40 or so users who all have their unique habits. "What did you do before it crashed" is a standard part of our day now Our software guy is blessedly patient with us!
Oh, web itself is not so problematic at least! But I think mobile is more fun, interesting and... definitely problematic. Because I have seen a user who wanted to log in (and of course crashed) directly from closed screen (and I really have zero idea how they managed even made to that point)Well at least web is easy to predict, there is only so many things a user can do We also don't let them have that many choices anyway
That's both amusing and sad to watch, kind of! Sometimes I see my co-workers want to yell "How dare you!" when they see what a user has done to cause a crash, because users sometimes can do very (and I mean it) fantastic things with the application not only by testers, by even an AI (which can run thousands of different tests in a minute) can imagine
We spent 3 years developing and testing it, but as is normal for a release people will absolutely find a way to break it For back-end, is it standard for the developer to be trying to break it? Can users break it from interaction?
Welcome!
Welcome to Tar Valon, Merleen!
