Congratulations, Miya! Winner of a Staff Member of the Year Award!

As you may recall, I have 4 awards to give out to Staff Members. I so am excited to say that Miya Kiyoshi is the first winner of our Keeper's Award for Staff Member of the Year! :clap

Miya has been an outstanding member of our Outreach Activities Team for a while now. She has been consistently active in that role and is always bringing her creative thoughts and talents to the team. At the beginning of 2012, she stepped up in to the staff role of Outreach Activities Graphics Coordinator. For those of you who aren't familiar with that position, Miya is in charge of making sure that all the graphics needs for our online events are taken care of. She not only personally works on projects, she coordinates other graphically minded people to make sure all the work gets done. From graphical greetings to site headers, she helps take care of it all. She's done an exceptional job and she's done it consistently.

Thank you for this award. It is wonderfully timed in that I have recently been very sad at how distracted I've become from my Sisters (LOVE YOU ALL!) and friends here in Tar Valon; what with my home life/family, other hobbies & obligations, and of course my good fortune in getting a new job (which is a HUGE blessing) I've just not been able to be here as much as I have been in the past and I feared that perhaps I had been letting both the White Ajah and the members of TarValon.net down.

I want to say that I don't know who may have been involved in putting me forward for this award, but I wish to publicly extend to them (and you) a deeply heartfelt, "Thank You" as well as: "Thank you for welcoming me into this community, this family, and the positions I've been allowed to fill."

It has been my honor and privileged to be able to serve; helping others to have fun, and making others smile, is one of my great joys in life. Being able to do so here in this community which celebrates the book series we all love so very much, has been very fulfilling. I eagerly anticipate a time when I will be able to serve this community in yet another position.
