I'm happy to announce that Erin al'Denael has now been raised to Aes Sedai of the White Ajah. :white
Here's what some of her Sisters and Brothers had to say:
Congrats, again, Erin Sedai!! :joy
Here's what some of her Sisters and Brothers had to say:
~~~People matter to her both on and off the site. Her posts are very White. They are logical and thought out and contain a lot in few lines. She fits with us very well even if, at first glance, one wouldn't expect that. She is more than ready to be raised to Aes Sedai again and I look forward to welcoming her as a full Sister.
~~~I feel that Erin has greatly enriched the Ajah and she's a strong example of what it means to be White in everyday life. It is wonderful to have her in the Ajah and I would be delighted to call her Sister!
~~~She's a lovely woman, and I've recently begun PMing her regularly in an attempt to get to know her. It's hard to know her on the boards, but one on one, she really shines. She's a very caring person, and must have the patience of a saint to be a teacher. She has already made a great addition to the White Ajah as an Aspirant, and I know she will make a wonderful Sister.
~~~She's friendly, supportive, and has been an active participant in the Ajah since Aspiring. She fit in immediately when she started guesting and we were all excited when she Aspired. She's definitely one of us and I can't wait for her to be officially raised.
~~~Erin has already proven herself MANY TIMES OVER to be truly an Aes Sedai. She gives to her friends, to her peers, to her chosen group (yo! MTV Whites!*), and to the Tower at large. She isn't content unless she is giving back to others. She is a g*ddamned ESL teacher for f*ck's sake - how much more driven to give back to your community by being a public servant making sh*t for income of a perceived second class program that gets no credit and makes a world of difference to FAMILIES as well as communities. *Bad play on "Yo! MTV Raps!" from the early 1990s.In short, Erin is my jam. She rocks and I already consider her a sister. I was SUPER thrilled when she chose White (I swear, I was VERY neutral in her decision process!) and would love to have her have the benefits and official credit of the title of White Aes Sedai.
~~~I write to recommend that Erin be raised to Aes Sedai of the White Ajah. As her mentor, it's been my great pleasure to watch Erin integrate into the Ajah. I know she's generally a fairly private person (as are many of us), but she's been able to open up with us and become a part of the place. I love talking about teaching with her and commiserating about the bureaucratic inanities and insanities of our respective institutions. Many of us have a strong impulse to respond to everything in every thread, in one way or another, and Erin doesn't do that, but I find that doesn't bother me. I know that when she has something to say, she says it, and I respect that - I'm often that same way myself.
Congrats, again, Erin Sedai!! :joy
