(I think, and title is pending)... anyways I got the $10 ebook tier backed, was going to get the premium foil version, but it would have been $50 more after shipping, so $10 vs $60, I thought maybe I will stick with just the ebook

It's based and set in the world of Sixth of Dusk novella, also Sixth of Dusk is part of this book, and has been revised some Brandon said in his podcast. So part of this book is just Sixth of Dusk revised is how I understand it.

Anyways, I just finished placing my order survey today, I wanted to share that I am excited for Summer 2025 when it releases. I wonder if Brandon will give us the ebook sooner than the premium book version release (since that takes longer to get out to people). I hope so, this is a far future cosmere book, sci Fi elements too, I am really excited for this side of Brandon. (I like sci-fi almost more than fantasy)

I signed up for the physical book/box/whatever it is! I only did ebooks/audiobooks for the other secret projects and ended up buying two of the physical books after the fact anyway, so figured I'd just go ahead and get a head start on that this time haha.

this one was really complicated, like if you ordered the words of radiance leather bound you don't get the secret project, you have to add that on later through backerkit... very strange how they did it this time, I found it confusing personally.

as long as you selected the $50 secret project option you got it though

still about 2 or 3 weeks left on backerkit to make changes to order, so maybe I will change mine to hardcover premium, I just did a second job interview today with a big state university, so if I get that job I will change it as a treat to myself

They're secret in the sense that he had other stuff he was supposed to be working on (it sounds like he has his writing planned out years in advance with all the unfinished series he's juggling), but because he's a writing maniac he got bored and/or needed a break from his schedule, so he wrote some other stuff instead and the other stuff was so much that it turned into multiple books. So surprise! We're getting new books that no one was expecting!

to add to what she said, he has said on his podcast that during Covid he had a lot more free time than expected because all his travel plans were canceled, and he has lots of story ideas hidden away, and he was able to finally find time for some of them because of Covid cancelling his travel plans for a year or two.

also, Brandon has a big following, I genuinely like most of his works. he isn't the best writer in the world, but his stories/magic systems are amazing.

For real, I usually end up getting an ebook and a physical book, but the physical book is purely because pretty.
