I've gotta plan ahead, too, so I am hopeful for some more info soon If I'm able to fly in, I'd love to coordinate a carpool with someone from the airport. If I make the drive from New Mexico instead, I could conceivably pick a few people up along the way if needed!

Oh, this tempts me, especially if you happen to be driving through Texas on your way across and are potentially willing to endure my presence for that far! I've been on the fence, but the more I think about it, the more I need to look into what it all would cost and whether I can conceivably swing it.

The only part of Texas I'd be driving through is the panhandle, so if you could meet me in Amarillo or OKC, I could grab you! I could also conceivably take a route that swings me just north of Dallas if that's where you're closer to, but it would add about an hour to the drive.

I'm in Waco (about 90-120 minutes south of the DFW metroblob), which is decidedly out of the way of that route, and there's not a thing in this city to justify adding that much time to anyone's cross-country drive.

I might be better served to drive myself or to team up with somebody else from Texas, potentially, if there are any such carpools. That said, once registration opens and I have a chance to talk logistics with the spousal unit, I'll have a better sense of my capabilities.

FYI! Just to remind everyone that since Anni isn't until November...don't expect registration until end of April early may (I try to shoot for approx 6 months out). My intention is to have a final ticket price out late March/early April and you can expect the planning forum for general shenanigans around then as well! :joy :joy
