Wow, I'm blown away by the instant positive response here, thanks for the warm welcome!
It's clearly a good sign when there's so many active members and members that've been active for such a long time. It also seems like there are even occasions for in person meetups and such, which is pretty awesome.
- Dianna, I listen to the set narrated by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading. They do a pretty dang good job, though tbh I didn't look into any alternatives. Is there a different one you'd recommend?

Those are the ones I listened to first, and I do adore them both. (I call them "mama and papa wheel of time" in my head ). But if you ever feel compelled to go back and do another re-listen, I also recommend the Rosamund Pike versions! Currently only books 1-3 are out, but I suspect they're going to have her narrate the whole series. I'm currently on book 2, and I am loving her narration style and voices. So while the Kramer and Reading version will always have a special place in my heart, the Pike version is equally fantastic!

Anyway, call me Freagar (he/him). It's the name of my first character while playing Lord of the Rings Online. He was an area of effect sword wielding champion hailing from the rebuilt city of Dale. It felt like a proper tribute to a goal of becoming gaidin, though I might lack the discipline needed.

A fellow Lotr fan and Lotro player here. I play in Laurelin server and my name is Finarvith Gildorion there, a Ñoldorin-Telerin lore-master, originally from Nargothrond, and from Harlindon and then Imladris during Second and Third Ages.
