The Keeper's Awards are brand new this year! They are designed to publically recognize administrators and staff who have done an outstanding job this past year. I'm looking for input so please review the categories below and email me at keeper@tarvalon.net by September 20th if you know of someone who you think deserves to win!

Moderator or Chat Op of the Year
This award recognizes outstanding service as a moderator on our forums or as an operator in our chat rooms. Up to two people can win this award per year. It can be two mods, two ops or one of each. Anyone who served as a moderator or chat operator from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 is eligible to receive this award.

Membership Administrator of the Year
This award recognizes outstanding service as membership group administrator. Eligible positions are Mayor, Company Commander, Captain of Recruits, Captain of Soldiers, Head of Ajah, Mistress of Novices or Mistress of Accepted. There is one award in this category per year. Anyone who served as a membership administrator from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 is eligible to receive this award.

Administrator of the Year
This award recognizes outstanding service in an administrator level position (excepting membership administrators as they have their own category!). There is one award in this category per year. Anyone who served as an administrator from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 is eligible to receive this award.

Staff Member of the Year
This award recognizes outstanding service in a staff level position. Up to four people can win this award per year. Anyone who served in a staff-level position from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 is eligible to receive this award.

Can you clarify what an administator (non-membership administrator) and a staff member is?

It's just a difference in level. For instance, a TVT Reporter is staff. But the TVT Editor is an administrator. Similarly, a member of the Outreach Activities Team is staff, but the Outreach Activities Coordinator is an administrator. Generally the difference is that an administrator will have people who report to them. They are mid-level management between the staff and the Director. If you still aren't sure whether someone is staff or administrator but you think they rock, just email me and I can tell you which it is!

Great question, Kitan, and thanks to everyone who's already nominated people! We have a great group of volunteers here and I am so excited to be able to recognize their work! :D

The horrible thing is that I didn't know I was in Leora's employ until I filled out the exit survey and had to ask which department it fell under (and yes, they do ask). :look:
