A Memory of Light release events! Also, flyers!

In case it wasn't already obvious, we (TarValon.Net) would love to see your photos and hear your stories from A Memory of Light midnight release parties, reserved copy pick-ups, and whatever other crazy final-book-of WoT things you're getting up to this week. Please feel free to post these things on our Facebook (www.facebook.com/tarvalon) or Twitter (www.twitter.com/@tarvalon), or email them to towervoice@tarvalon.net / marketing@tarvalon.net and we will share them for you! We may also continue with some special segments in the Tar Valon Times.


The holiday months of Nov. & Dec. have been jam-packed for most of our department, but we do also have a first round of self-printable TarValon.Net flyers (postcard-sized / 4 to a standard sheet of paper) available upon request. If you're interested, email marketing@tarvalon.net!


For our first round, we've chosen a fabulous tagline submission by Erin al'Denael -- we feel it does a great job of summarizing our diverse community in a few words. "Reading. Belonging. Doing."

For future materials, we will post our top 4 favorite submissions and let you, the community, vote on your favorite, since this IS a community effort after all. Coming soon, after the whirlwind of AMoL has calmed down a bit.

Got the flyer in an e-mail during the night my time, printed some, and actually got to give one away to another WOT fan at the store when I got a copy of AMOL in the morning today. Thanks for being so quick with getting the PDF file to me!

Brandon (my husband, not Sanderson) printed 200 flyers in color and Keisha and Winterdawn passed them out at the midnight signing. Here's Keisha posing with some:

There were over 1,000 people at the midnight release (!!!!) but Brandon (my husband) could only print 200 flyers (he works at a copy center, and he has leeway to print some stuff for personal use for free, but he has to be reasonable)...but while I controlled the line at the signing (I was a Memory Keeper) I told a lot of people about TV.net, and I'll be handing out more flyers at the Salt Lake City signing on February 1

I suspect that AMoL itself and all our coverage and conversation about it is helping bring in new members, but I'd like to agree and chalk at least some of that up to the flyers.

I have more flyers to give out at the February 1 AMOL signing in Salt Lake City! They're in black and white but they're still pretty (the ones we distributed at the release signing were in color )

I don't have anymore pix of the flyers in action, I was on my way to Memory Keeper duties and just snapped it with my phone. But I'm sure I can get pix of them in action at the February 1 signing!
