Hey yall! Still a newbie but eager to learn! I've heard that the Ajahs here differ from the books but can't seem to find out how.
Could someone help me understand?

The Ajahs here are a lot different from the books. All members of a community group influence the group so they also change a lot over time. You can read up on the different groups in our Library:

When you become a Citizen you will also gain access to more forums. The Old Warder and Hen is our 'tavern' and every group has its own thread in there. It's a great place to get to know the groups better

After you've been here a bit, you'll have a chance to chat with more of us and get to know the groups a bit better, and our differences from and similarities to the book Ajahs will start to be a little more apparent. For instance, in Red, we have the same dashing fashion sense and the very best color ever, but we do (a little) less rampaging around the countryside and terrifying rogue channelers.
