Chat not working?

I am specifically talking about the Mibbit client you use if you click "Chat" here on Tar Valon.

I just get this message when trying to log on to #wheel. I tried last night and tonight with the same results, and I've tried multiple user names as well:

<shire.sorcery.net>: *** Looking up your hostname...

Is it just me, or is it chat?

last two weeks I have had this issue intermittently. If I closed and reopen the window a few times it would eventually let me in.

I'm in chat right now (rarity, but yeah). :P I never use the mibbit client though. I do know you can go http://www.sorcery.net, and click "Chat now", then join #wheel.

Stasia Sedai, I have had the same problem intermittently. If you try again a couple times it works.

I have the same issue intermittently when I use mibbit, but I don't use mibbit that often I think it's just that particular client that's having issues, not our chat offerings overall.

Seems to be. I was able to log on just fine via sorcery.net directly as Erin suggested. Works for me!

That's usually a connection issue from mibbit's servers to the IRC servers. If it continues to be a consistent issue let us know and we'll look into it more!

I like Colloquy for MacOS. There's one for iOS, too (e.g. on an iPad), but I don't remember it; TurboIRC or something similar?
