I don't know how many people here have read the Misty of Chincoteague books but they were some of the formative books from my childhood.
I even visited Chincoteague during the pony swim one year because of them. One of the best memories I have from that trip is visiting the Beebe Ranch, where Misty lived out her life.
I'm posting now because I recently found out that the Beebe Ranch has gone up for sale they have been given an offer from a developer but the Museum of Chincoteague has until April 30th to raise enough to match that offer.
