Announcing the North American Anniversary Party Charitable Outreach

Without further ado, I am excited to announce the North American Anniversary Party Charitable Organization that TarValon.Net will be working with at the upcoming Anni party this year- as well as in years to come. We are a community dedicated to the principles laid out by the creator- of being a Servant of All. This can mean many things and take on many forms- but for our Real Life and Official TarValon.Net events we want it to mean extending this spirit of service to the communities that we are visiting- across the world. Beginning this year we will be supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities at our North American Anniversary Events!

The Ronald McDonald House holds that every child deserves a safe and supportive place to grow and takes this belief to heart by creating, finding, and supporting programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children. Ronald McDonald House Charities offer health services to children in the under-served communities, provide grants to other non-profit organizations who are also offering services to seriously ill children to live happier and healthier lives, operate camps (like the one near Estes Park, Colorado) for children impacted by serious illness, and of course provides a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children through the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The Ronald McDonald Houses offer families a home, a sanctuary, and a financial savior during stressful time. From premature babies to young adolescents battling serious diseases and everything in between, the stress on families in enormous. Their worries over their child, brother, or sister grow and the hospital bills can become enormous. In addition, seriously ill children often have extended stays in hospitals far-removed from their communities and homes. Families are able to stay together, without going seriously into debt with hotel fees, by staying at Ronald McDonald house.

This year for 2013 Anni in Michigan we will be supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Southeastern Michigan, for more information on our efforts, please check out this thread.

Also, members wishing to support this cause and the Southeastern Michigan Ronald McDonald House who are not attending Anni may do so by donating funds to payable@tarvalon.net on paypal- be sure to include your name and that the donation is for Ronald McDonald House so that funds are not applied incorrectly.

Thank you to all our donors and all the members who took the time to help us make this selection by voting in either or both of the polls used to determine the organization we would annually be supporting. Thank you as well to Ronald McDonald House Charities who have thus far been an utter delight to work with! I am not saying anyone has to eat under the golden arches- but RMHC’s is a truly wonderful organization that I am excited to support and continue to partner with.

This is an excellent organization to put our support behind. A close friend was able to stay at a Ronald McDonald House multiple times while her young son was in and out of the hospital, and the House always made her feel welcome and cared for. Great choice!

This is a great charity to support and, like Maibella, I've had friends stay at a RMDH and they have always been treated so wonderfully... Something that's so important when you really need the support.
