As far as I know, everyone loved him in the role so far.

I think that, perhaps, they might be under a Non-Disclosure Agreement, for whatever reason. Or, they may be respecting a request from the actor. I can also see limiting talk about it until after the season releases, so as to make the hype about the show itself.

+1 On the note about Perrin being married, I agree with Morgana Sedai, this is the first thing I don't like. I hope that in the context of the show, it will be better.

I like that they're trying to keep it more of a mystery, because I knew from the start that Rand would the Dragon Reborn. Also, the title "Dragon Reborn" itself is pretty gender neutral.
