Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: To the End!

Yeah, I'm with Adui on that one - I think Eliada has simply misinterpreted her Foretelling, rather than misremembered it. Also, YAY PEVARA! :joy She is my very favorite minor character. My entire opinion of the Red Ajah changed due to her. I'm so looking forward to her relationship with Androl...

Oh! I'm glad you pointed this out. I'm just at the point in the next book where Shiaine kills Carridin, and I couldn't remember why exactly she did it. Makes sense now! I assumed it meant that Beslan would "comfort" her then be expected to marry her, and if he didn't want to marry her then...

Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: To the End!

Back on the topic of Mat and Tylin, when Mat is about to leave he tells Tylin that he's going to miss her, and is surprised to realize that he means it. I wonder what Jordan was trying to do with Mat And Tylin. What was his goal, what was the point? We can discuss the actuality of it all day...

Oh, one more thing. In Rand's battle with Sammael, Rand tracks him by waiting to feel him channeling. But isn't there a way to invert your weaves so that someone else doesn't know you're channeling? You'd think Sammael would have done this. Or is that something only women can do?

Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: To the End!

"I wanted to kick him but it is not done, kicking the Car'a'carn." - Nandera :lol "The Dragon Reborn was going to the Sea Folk in a style that would have them plummeting to their knees in awe." - Rand's thoughts Well, sort of. He does make quite an impression due to his ta'veren nature but...

iirc she is the first of the Black sisters uncovered by Pevara's/Seiane's team. :D

Ryu you are not the only one to think about that (Mat getting food outside). It doesn't justify Tylin's actions, but seriously, the guy is not going to starve. :\ I'm working on getting caught up. I just listened to the part where Elaida tasks Seiane with hunting the Black Ajah. I found it...

Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: To the End!

Re: Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: Chapters 28-33 I don't know how I overlooked this before. Or maybe I just don't remember it? Regardless, it is very uncomfortable to read this time through.

Re: Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: Chapters 22-27 Adui I don't think that's Suroth ... irrc Suroth arrives with Tuon. Meg :lol ok that makes sense. That's why I love reading about them though. :P

Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: To the End!

Re: Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: Chapters 22-27 :rofl Yeah, Elayne and Nyneave definitely didn't act like Aes Sedai - they acted like spoiled, petulant children. I always envision them stamping their feet and shouting/whining "but I AM Aes Sedai!" :P What exactly do you have trouble...

Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: To the End!

Re: Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: Chapters 22-27 Watching the way this changes over the next several books is highly entertaining to me. It is similar to the change in attitude the Wise Ones experience regarding Aes Sedai, but for me the change the Kin experience is much more fun to read...

Re: Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: Chapters 17-21 Ooh Megana I love that! Unlike some, I actually do like reading the Cadsuane parts (I don't always like HER, but I enjoy her part in the story) and thinking of her more like Polgara give a whole new feel to it.

Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: To the End!

Re: Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: Prologue-Ch 2 True but it must be easier if the Sister you choose is already a loner with no friends - far fewer people to notice any possible changes in her behavior. And I agree that she had likely been Mesaana since we first met her. Some of the other...

Re: Re-Readalong: A Crown of Swords: Prologue-Ch 2 :lol I didn't recognize Danelle's name as having any importance so I looked it up in the Library. AHA! Now it makes a bit more sense. Perhaps this is a discussion for another time but do we have any idea when Mesaana might have started...
