Second, I think there may be multiple definitions of the term missionaries. I grew up hearing missionaries defined as anyone who leaves there home to go and "do good" while being financially supported by the church. This could mean living in a foreign country...

I feel similarly. I understand the intent behind it, I really really do, but I don't think that intent is coming across well.

Ok. Can you edit the language then? It says these things may count. I just want to be sure that people's passions are equally represented, and that the religions aren't being discriminated against.
I'm actually not ok with the church stuff not being counted. This is kind of implying that all churches are "discriminatory" and that is absolutely not true. My church is always collecting donations for various things that benefit the community, and these things have to be sorted, bagged...
