I had a unit manager who was slightly crazy. She knocked a chair into one of our pregnant staff and sent mass emails telling staff she was writing them up. She tried once to do it to me, so I recorded the conversation and turned it into the administrator...she was fired.

You will be fine. :) The boss....well there are so many ways to make him regret his outburst and it not affect you.
