Heh thanks, I know that was totally an open door to spoilers. Unfortunately I've got a lot of spoilers already so I know some of the major events from the ending, but nothing specific about Mesaana (or Moghedien for that matter).

I'm at the end of book 11 and Mesaana has moved very little. Unless she has a big moment coming up, I can't imagine why she couldn't be merged with Moghedien. They've both been working from the shadows all the way through.

I'm worried about it, I remember the furor that followed cutting Tom Bombadil and Glorfindel!

Which minor characters do you hope don't get cut? I'm using a pretty broad definition of minor characters because there are so many major characters! I really hope to see Sulin and some of the Asha'man (especially Narishma and Eben Hopwill.)
