Yes it's voice and text, with plans for both screensharing and video chat in the works. I would not be surprised if they arrive within the next month or two- they work fast over there. :P

This is why other communities I am part of have opted to avoid Slack. The invite-only thing really is painful. I am SUPER happy that Discord is being reconsidered. <3
