Visitor messages are messages people leave on your profile. The text editor will appear when you need to type in text. You should get a mini-bar in the Quick Reply box, or select Go Advanced to see a more elaborate one. Check your private message folders, including Sent Messages.

Random, but in case anyone was curious about it -- if you have your birthday as viewable, your name (and your age if you enable that setting) pops up on the Calendar. Kind of cool! And Yele, there is an option that says "New Posts" in the Forum navigation up top. It's the first option...
