Yeah, the US is a much more credit based society, so I suppose it makes sense we have something like that and you guys don't.
In fact every debit card I've had since I was 16 (10 years ago) could also be run as a credit card. Visa logo and everything.

You don't have prepaid cards you can get from a bank there?
Over here, as a free service, I can go to my bank and they hand me a Visa or Mastercard, and put money into a prepaid account on it. Works just like a credit card, only I prepay instead of post pay. Nothing like that over there?
