Well, remember, this is how RAND figures a world without the Dark One will be, not how it would actually be ;)
But it fits with the overall theme of the book, balance, how you need both saidin and saidar, ta'veren effects being both good and bad etc...

The point is one again one of balance. If there was no evil, what would be good? Light, and dark, saidin and saidar, different but same. It fits in the overall theme of the book, imo. I liked that solution :)
Yes, I like that Shara comes in by surprise like that...
I just wish we had some more information from that area, other than the few references in outside story books.
Yes, you do notice a very big difference in how the last three books are paced than the last few. But things don't happen as quickly as you wish anyway. But I can promise at least two EPIC moments in this book ^^
There is one scene in particular that redeems this book in my eyes :look I don't think you've come to it yet ;)
And most people agree that the "Perrin rescuing Faile" go on for waaaaay too long...
Yes, I love New Spring as well :) It starts by showing a more "normal" time in the White Tower, instead of the special circumstances we find with Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve...
And it shows how Moiraine became what she is at the start of Eye of the World, and how she gained Lans respect and...
Yeah, CoT is my least favourite book. So little progress towards anything...
Basically, it is a check-in on each plotline, and how they react to the cleansing :look
