I totally understand what you mean... I don't have kids, but I know that if I watch someone else's kids, I couldn't sit and read a book, especially not a new book...
I mean, the whole point of reading fiction is to relax and get away from the world and into a place of excitement and adventure :)
I find it hard to compare Jordan and Sanderson. First off, Jordan started writing almost 30 years ago, and Sanderson has been inspired by him. Sandersons world(s) are perhaps more complex, but Jordans are simpler and more complete. That may of course be because Sandersons system is not yet...
I am rereading Oathbringer for the first time now, and WOW, I missed a lot. I don't know if it was because I read it on Kindle, or because I read it too fast, but I see so many things now that I previously missed... All the stuff that happens before they even get to Kholinar...
That is a scary and probably accurate theory Stephen.
And I notice that I need to reread this book soon, I seem to have missed a lot of details... But my to-read list is quite long atm :look
Not more? :scratch Well, almost two months then. And anyway, my other points stand. Most of us have read it by now, and this thread is clearly labelled if people still want to avoid spoilers...
I believe that we stated in an information thread that this thread will contain spoilers. If not, I will now officially say that we no longer need spoiler tags in this thread ;)
The book has been out for several months, and this thread is clearly labeled with the name of the book...
Honestly, I only understood who that character was because someone mentioned that that person was in the book. When I was looking for the person, I found out pretty quickly...
I finished :D
I cannot say that I enjoyed this book as much as the last one. But then again, Words of Radiance is probably one of my most favourite books EVER, so it was a tall order to compete with ;)
I have only just started, I am having trouble concentrating, and I don't want to read when I am tired because I would miss stuff... I have done that too many times with new books before :look
I LOVE what I have read so far thuogh. Love how Dalinar curses politics while trying to master it...
I have indulged myself and preordered it to my kindle app as well as the actual book. The book in itself won't be here until December :( I couldn't wait that long D:
