I started reading the series back in 2002 or 2003, I believe. Didn't love it right away, but after putting 'The Eye of the World' down for 6 months I finished the book and all the others currently published. The years between publications and increased IRL responsibilites made me fall off again, but I finally completed the whole series a couple of years ago. Absolutely loved the ending and cried my eyes out. Doing a re-read again now :whee
My favorite character is and have always been Nynaeve. Mostly because I get her and her motiviations the best.
Other authors I love (usually like all the books) are Tolkien, Hobb, Sanderson, Martin, Tracy Chevalier, Siri Pettersen, Fredrik Backmann, Joe Abercrombie (really looking forward to 'A little hatred'!). I mostly read epic fantasy or the like, but I do dabble in other genres.
The name I chose for this site is a rewriting of Aeariell, a nickname I've used online since 2001. It's a name someone translated into Sindarin for me supposing to mean 'daughter of the sea'. I didn't want to use a too tolkienesque name here, lol.
I speak/understand the Scandinavian languages, Icelandic, English (not a native speaker as you might have guessed) as well as some Mandarin and Spanish. I love studying languages, but alas, don't do it anymore.
I also have two podengo portugues pequeño liso dogs so do let me know if you are a fan of the breed ✌
