problem with phone?

I'm assuming that there is some sort of glitch with my phone and the way it interacts with TV.net but I'm hoping that someone else has had the same experience and can help me out:

When I reply to a thread while on my phone my auto-capitalization starts every word with a capital letter. It doesn't matter how many times I try to undo it, it just goes back to a capital. There are some other glitchy things about the way it corrects errors, but the capitalization is the biggest issue. I have the keyboard set to Swype, auto-space, and auto-capitalize the first word of a sentence. It works the way it should on every other website and app, but not on this site.

I'd really like to fix this because not only is it irritating but I also comment much less than I'd like to because my posts look ridiculous with all those caps.

Any ideas?

I wish I could help you out Mai! Unfortunately, my phone also has an odd quirk with TV.net, and it's the only website I go to that it occurs. When trying to reply to anything my keyboard opens (touch screen keyboard) and then immediately disappears. So I can't even respond to things on my phone.

I have a Windows phone, but I don't think that should be an issue...

What kind of phone OS do you use Mai? Android? I can ask my brother (a programmer/coder for all the things!) if he knows anything...

Ok, I texted him and he says that the capitalization thing is a known problem with JellyBean and Swype... but that you should check/reset your settings under the Swype settings?

Menu-> System settings->Language & input-> Swype Settings Icon ->Preferences (This is his order, I hope it's correct, I don't have an android. Either way, get to yer Swype Settings. XD)

Do you have Auto-spacing and Auto-Capitalization selected? If not, select them, reboot phone. Once rebooted, go back, unselect, reboot again.

I've checked the settings before but I will do it again and reboot the phone as well, following all those instructions. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks!

yeah, the last time I did a system update I'm convinced it made my phone run slower ... there's no other way to explain how slow my phone is now

She said in the first post that she does have both selected... At which point, she'll want to turn them both off, reboot, re-select them to turn them back on, and reboot again.

Which is what I think you meant, but it's in the other order here...

Basically my brother was saying turn them off, reboot, turn on, reboot. Maybe I just didn't type that clearly, I was trying to be quick about it. :laugh:

Did it slow down after the last system update? Because I LOVED my phone before that, and now it drives me absolutely batty.

Alenya - Change your theme to the mobile one when you're on your phone and you'll be able to respond...

(I have the same issue when it's in "full site" on my win8 phone, so use the mobile theme to get around that...).
