Hi Blythe, glad to have you with us
Hello and welcome!
Hi Blythe, glad to have you with us
Thank you!Welcome, Blythe!
Thank you! I have been thinking of making a thread to write down my thoughts as I go through the remainder of the books. I'm having a lot of fun so far!YAY one more first time reader, I am so excited for you to continue reading and give us your thoughts! Welcome and I hope you have fun here with us!
Thank you!Welcome to Tar Valon!
Welcome! I LOVE The Shadow Rising. It's one of my favorite books in the early series.
Hehe, it's been so long since I read these books the first time (1996) that I have forgotten what I was thinking at the time, but I imagine it was something like "gods you really are a woolheaded shepherder, aren't you". When I read the first books I was 16, and identified very very strongly with Egwene. Now as a 40-something I identify more with Moiraine and to some extent Siuan, I imagine when I am 80 I will identify strongly with...well, certain characters that you haven't encountered yet, but are just as strong personality-wise as Egwene or Moiraine.
Thank you! I'm glad to have discovered WoT due to the show coming out and being able to join in on the fun with other fans. I usually get to things late or they have a microscopic fanbase. I'm very excited to talk about the story with others and make new friendsWelcome Blythe!
I discovered WoT way back in the mid 90's when a dormmate gave me a copy of the first book. While her name is lost to time, I am forever grateful for her generous act! That one book got me hooked and over the years has led me to new friends and new adventures.
I too would like to hear more about your rocks and minerals!
I don't make anything with them and collect just for fun so the sci/tech forum sounds like it would be the best place. Thank you for the help!Hmmm... you could make a thread in either the Science & Technology forum or the Makerspace forum under Discussion Hall. If you are using them for art projects, Makerspace would be a great place. If you are collecting them for scientific / educational purposes, then the Sci/Tech forums might work better.
Thank you, I appreciate your welcome! I did become a citizen awfully fast that I hope it wasn't too quickly! I am a very go go go person sometimes and that does make me hasty sometimes :$Hello, Blythe! A bit of a late welcome, but a heartfelt one nonetheless. I saw your introduction thread when it was put up, and I thought "I'll get around to it, I just need to finish this ooooone thiiiing..." and the next thing I know, you're a Citizen! It really threw me in for a loop, I thought I'd accidentally been gone longer. Either way, it is nice to see you settling in.
