The Yellow Ajah has decided to focus on the cause of mental health advocacy, particularly among LGBTQ+ youth.

We are aware of the Trevor Project and we would welcome any suggestions of other organizations to support.

if one googles LBTG groups for donation on google one can find a LOT of groups for donation and time. You probably already know this, but was just looking to share sites and was amazed at how many sites there were.

In light of the difficult covid situation in India, the Yellow Ajah is working together to raise funds for various organizations that have requested donations from all over the world. As of 5/3/21, we have raised a total of $80.36 (USD) for the following organizations:

    1. Parivar Bay Area: partnering with on-the-ground partners across 26 locations 8 states to bring health kits and food to the Trans community - this: https://gofund.me/6c10dd07

    2. People for Change: battling hunger through daily rations to the trans community and sex workers in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Sex workers are battling a complete loss of income, high HIV rates that increase susceptibility to the virus, and so many other challenges right now, these are folks we really want to rally for!

    3. Mazdoor Kitchen: providing meals, masks, and ration kits to hundreds of people across north delhi, ever since the beginning of the lockdown.

    4. CARE: https://my.care.org/site/Donation2;...&NONCE_TOKEN=C8F7E655D17E788A5A3C10857545E0A4

Other organizations that accept foreign credit cards can be found here, in order from most to least urgent.

Good question, Erin. I'm not really sure, honestly. :\ It seems like all of these organizations are doing good work and trying to target traditionally overlooked and/or marginalized populations. I found the crowdsourced list on Instagram, through a Covid relief raffle that was being organized by a direct trade spice company I follow, Diaspora Co.

Another one of the organizations on the list is Project Mumbai, which earned a UN SDG Solidarity Action Award in 2020.

    *Edited for update:*

Over $320,000 have been donated so far through the Covid Relief for India Raffle. :joy :joy
