If you can choose but one place to live in in Randland, which will it be?
Whether or not I'd be Aes Sedai, I'd want to live in Tar Valon. One of the most beautiful cities in the land, if not the most beautiful. Peace kept by the Tower. Far enough north that the summers won't be blazing hot but not so far north that the winters will be terribly harsh. Plenty of trade on the river.
It will be Arafel. I like Andor too, I could choose it last year. But I played RPG with my friends and it was so beautiful. We played in Shol Arbela.
And now I like Arafel. and what i can say... Light and Honour!
Caemlyn for me. I am citizen boy and this city seems pretty safe with good ruling and also very beautiful.
I'd want to live in one of the small villages that surround Tar Valon. I'm not a people person, so I wouldn't have to deal with the throngs of people, and if I needed anything the village couldn't supply, I could got to the city. I'm thinking it'd be one of the closer ones, but not Darein or Dorlan. I'd only go to Dorlan for the cheese.
Whitebridge. You have trade on a river, not too big of a city and it still has a "country" feel to it.
I would live a life of traveling from Inn to Inn. Collecting songs and stories to share around the world. One horse for me, another for my instruments.
Fare you well Gleeman!
Would you take a young lad under your wing? Show me the flute? I would never touch your harp of course!
Although I can do some basic juggling, you will not likely see me dancing. I would play a variety of stringed instruments that were never truly made for a farmers hands. You could try your luck with my percussion instruments. I could always use a drummer.
I might just try my hand at dice while you distract them in High Chant!
