What did we not get to see in the books that you would like to see in the show?

Wasn't this more to do with potential Strength than actual Strength? I think female channelers can strength Potential as opposed to Male channelers who have no idea unless the other Channeler is actively Channeling.

Not really. They really hammered it into the three girls that potential doesn't equal skill. But all we saw Elayne do in the Seanchan camp was lift an apple.

Yeah thats true but what about the heirarchy once the girls become Aes Sedai?

Like from Elaynes potential (and you could add she is also the Daughter Heir of Andor into the mix) she will become one of the most powerful (politically and literally) Aes Sedai in the tower - maybe that affected the treatment?

She definetely did not have the feats of Egwene at this time who had been proven to have exceptionally strong weavings in the usually Male half (Thinking of Earth and Delving).

But yeah I think you are pretty much right here - and we can't explain this one away with Ta'v'eren-yness.

FYI, someone just pointed out to me that the producers are super sneaky and hide foreshadowing everywhere. like there's a background element in an early episode where mat's fate is hinted at.
