I consider that fact the you can care about the characters so much as the greatest part of the writing. The Aes Sedai are the ones you would expect to make good decisions and then they demonstrate that their personal flaws get in there way just as much as everyone else. Cadsaune seems to be the one Aes Sedai who does not jump to judgement.
