I did discover something though ... there's now a max post size?
We have a thread in Gray where we keep track of a lot of info. I'm now unable to edit the first post of that thread because the character count is too high. Is that max post size something that can be adjusted? Or do I need to create a new thread and break the info into multiple posts?

There's always been a max post size. I don't remember what it was in Xenforo 1, tbh. I've doubled message post length here though. If you need longer than that, I recommend that you break the post up in some fashion.

I am currently trying to redo my signature using a table and spoilers, so that I can display banners and badges, while also being able to use more lines of text, in accordance with the Signature policy. However, I keep getting an error message that my signature is x amount of lines too long. This is something I have not noticed before in the last version of the forum. Could the maximum amount of lines be increased, so that this is possible? My signature is currently an attempt of what I am trying to accomplish, but I would like to some more room to make it more presentable and perhaps add a quote to it. Make the center column more compact and add more links to the right hand column.

We have a few guidelines in place for the signatures that our Visitors and Community Members use on our forums. They must not be excessively wide, nor should they be excessively long or possess flashing logos or scrolling text. Banners must be *.gif, *.jpg, or *.png files and may not exceed 450x100 pixels. There may be up to two lines of text in a signature with a banner, no matter the size of the banner. Text-based sigs shall be no more than ten lines. The use of a few small, personalized emoticons is allowed. Lines including emoticons count for two lines, unless the emoticon is on the same line as your signature banner. Please use your discretion with signatures; crude or offensive signatures may be asked to be removed. Relationships not officially recognized by TarValon.Net as familial relationships (such as e-spouses, near-siblings, etc) are not allowed in signatures.

The forum has a setting that will not allow signatures with more than 10 lines, and while you might have them hidden behind spoilers they are likely still being counted by the XF2 version of the forum software, unless it's seeing something else I am missing.

We would have to dig into it further to see if that is the exact reason though.

Thanks!! Would it be possible to change that setting? Or is that something set-in-stone by Xenforo? I am trying rather hard to be diligent about the Guidelines and such, while finding a creative solution!

Nope! The new code is now : hug2 : (without the spaces), and the new forums retroactively changed EVERY instance of : hug to frisky ones.

lol. Emoji did not automatically move over.
We had a folder with thousands of emoji (from all the old forum software + all the old event and custom emoji all dumped into a folder) that imported on top of the default xenforo smilies.

Erin went through them trying to fix issues, duplicates, and remove really old ones that didn't work. Some imported with commands or duplicate commands. It was a mess.



Need to go back.. the mech with laser is missing!

I honestly didn't remember all of the codes, and there were a ton of duplicates. I did my best, and have been stealthily correcting stuff when I see people post a code that doesn't have an accompanying smiley.
