Mine goes straight to mobile too. I am getting one slight anomaly though. If I open something that's in spoiler tags, it then navigates me back to the intro page automatically. Anyone else getting this?

I'm having this same issue on my iPad. When I click on a spoiler it takes me back to the main TV.net page. When I click back the spoiler is open, but it's really weird.

You can go down to the bottom left of the page you're on and click on the drop-down box that says --TarValon.net Main Template. Click --Default Mobile Style.

I don't know about automatic switching but that will at least get you there

This worked for me. Thank you. I haven't tried closing down and coming back again, but it's easy to do, so I'm pleased.

oh yeah, and I also have had occasional problems getting logged out on my phone, even when I didn't close the browser or anything, but I don't have enough information to be clear about when it happens yet. but maybe that has happened to someone else as well.

From the permissions side of things, the permissions you have make no distinction between mobile or not. It's either can you do polls or can't you. :P If you mean that when using the mobile version you cannot answer polls, if you could get some screens/photos of polls not existing in mobile and send them to technology@, that would be most helpful.

I don't know how to make a screen shot on my phone but when I click a topic that says it has a poll, there is no poll to take. To be fair I can't remember if I already did the poll, but then I can't see the results either.

I also have the same problem, I just went and checked a thread that I knew had a poll and it didn't show up. I don't have the option of a screen shot but I can explain it easy enough. Basically, it looks just like every other thread, there isn't anything different than another thread. It does show you that there is a poll there though when you're looking through the list of threads within a group/forum branch.

Also, for some reason odd reason, my signature keeps getting turned off when I post on my phone... I've also found that if I go into advanced when typing the message I can add it in and sometimes after clicking it it'll stay clicked for a while (it stayed on last night, but when I first posted today it was gone again). I've also found that if I don't write the original message in advanced mode, I can't go back and add in my sig, as I tried to do with this message....

Onis, thank you. I can get that to work, just seems that my clumsy fingers have a hard time hitting the arrow instead of the part with the main thread title. ah, user error. I'm glad there is a mobile option, sounds like it will work better for some people, but there are some other things about it that bug me and I think I may just stick with the full site, as long as I have a good connection anyway.

Okay, this isn't a functional thing exactly, but the mobile version of the site basically just screams vBulletin. The main page has it at the top, even though it does have the Welcome to TarValon.net a little further down. But once you're in the forums, it just says vBulletin with nothing to make it seem like your at tv.net. This is a minor thing on the whole, but I would like to see the mobile version reflect the site more.

Is this something that's being addressed? I have the same issue. I'm in an iPhone 3GS (using desktop site).

Speaking of that, I had to change to the desktop site to find the settings button, and now I'm perma-desktop site. Is there any way we can get the mobile site to work like Facebook's mobile website does (if you log on on a mobile device, you always get the mobile page unless you select "desktop site" for that session.

Also, I hit the "Reply with quote" button below Siusane's post, so why didn't it include everything in her post (specifically, why didn't it nest what she had quoted)?

There might be an issue with mulit-quote of multi-quote or something causing them to not display properly.

Also, the spoiler code is BBCode added in by us. I am on the lookout for a better code alternative. I have no doubt that it's probably some incompatibility with how the code works in the mobile site vs. non-mobile.

Yeah, this is similar to what I was going to post about. I don't personally care if the mobile version is fancy or reflects the site or whatever, but my mind has a block where it doesn't understand that clicking 'vBulletin' at the top will get me to the main forums. Intellectually, I understand it. I figured it out after a minute or so. But every time I go back there my instinct is to think, "How do I get back to the main page? Where's the banner?" And the only banner is the vBulletin one which makes it seem like you're going to the vBulletin site. This is a minor usability issue but if anyone has a moment to sneak in and transplant the vBulletin banner for something simple that says "TarValon.Net" my flake of a brain would appreciate it.

And if I have problems with it, being very comfortable with tech stuff, I can imagine someone less tech savvy would have troubles with it.

*raises hand* Not the most tech savvy. I would definitely appreciate something that has our name instead of vBulletin's.
