East Coast.... again... geez. I was hoping for something more centrally located like Colorado. Durham is only seven hours away from the Anni party this year.
This is how I've felt about the last several parties except that they were on the west coast
I believe it also has something to do with the bids that come in. If they're only hearing from people on the east coast, then those are the choices they have to choose from.
This is accurate. Don't be afraid to submit bids for places you want us to visit--even if you don't have every single piece that's requested in the bid form.
If anyone has questions about submitting bids, or needs help with one, please feel free to reach out to us.
Ditto to what both Alenya and Mieriana have said. If you have a place you think would be great for an event, please submit a bid! We’re always looking for new places to visit!
Exactly! Send me bids (you can see the sorts of things we ask for in the threads for past parties...it's a word document) or send me ideas in advance so that I can poke you and remind you when the time comes to submit once again!
Uh, okay. Bid: Colorado again. Centrally located and we know the territory there already. #micdrop
I’m excited 20th is on the East Coast. Only way I can go to parties.
The last two Annis were in Washington state and Idaho.
I think Jordan Con being an all east coast event really skews things. I'm not advocating for my backyard, I would just like to see something more centrally located so that everyone has more of an opportunity to go. I know lots of people do Anni and Jordan Con annually, but that isn't as easy an option for those of us out here on the best coast. #westcoastbestcoast
Love to attend and get to meet you Mother ..we Rher
With the small number of members in Australia and Eastern Asia compared to the numbers in Europe, the US east coast is actually centrally located to attract the highest number of people because it's more accessible to European members. Those who are coming to Anni this year or next year are still traveling much further than anyone in the US or Canada. I realize it's a North American event, but making it more accessible to our brothers and sisters on other continents every few years isn't a bad thing. As others have pointed out, the last two Anni celebrations were West coast, now we do two East coast. Maybe the next one will be in the Midwest. The future is all dependent on bids.
Yes. Thank you.
Tbh I have also advocated that we take anni abroad. Not as an offshoot like Europarty, but Anni itself. Keeping it always in the US and Canada excludes, or at least makes it more difficult, for our members abroad.
I haven't been forced into calling off my trip in April to the US, but it's looking more and more likely by the day. As such, should the worst happen I'll be needing to change my flights to travel later in the year and I thought Fall Ball would be a good backup. Do we have any idea yet what the dates will be?
Not yet, Eniara - we have a lot of irons in the fire but will holler just as soon as we know something more concrete *hugs*
20th anni... worth making the trip
