I am new here, as you probably have also assumed.
About nine years ago, a friend of mine, Narysse Sedai, told me about a book series that she was just in love with, called Wheel of Time. I trusted her judgement, and it sounded pretty cool, but I knew it was a very long series, and I just didn't have time. Fast forward to two years ago, I received an e-reader for a Christmas present and found obtaining and reading large books much more convenient (not that I ever let inconvenience stop me from reading a good book!) and decided to tackle this series that she had told me about. Needless to say, I was soon kicking myself for having waited. I recently got in touch with Narysse Sedai again, and she invited me to have a look at this site. So here I am.
I see in one of the stickies there is a short list of questions you may be interested in.
My favorite WoT character... that's a tough one. I'm not sure I have a single favorite. My favorite changed from book to book as the characters evolved and new ones were introduced. Some of my favorites include Aviendha, Tuon, Perrin, and Verin.

I am a college graduate, married and currently working as a graphic artist at a print shop.
My favorite book is Mara, Daughter of the Nile by Eloise Jarvis McGraw, and my favorite author is Frank E. Peretti. Yes, I am quite well aware that my favorite author did not write my favorite book. One of life's mysteries.
Uhm... I don't need help with anything in particular at the moment. I'm basically just poking around the site, getting a feel of things. I'll be sure to let someone know if I do need something.
