What role will Talenel play? He will certainly come back at some point.
Galivar possibly knows one of the Brightlords is in league with the enemy, but not sure which one? Also Galivar knows the Parshandi are not responsible for breaking the treaty.
I forgot Syl has been with Kaladin since the beginning of the story, Cenn sees her effects when Kal is fighting.

My favorite quote so far, "There was a certain power in that, a freedom. The freedom of not having to care."

I vaguely remember that we find this out later, though I don't remember the answer. What you said is what I thought on this reread, though.

Also, just wondering, in terms of spoiler tags. I think so far the way we've been using them makes sense. But perhaps once we finish the first segment (prologue through 15) and start discussing it, we can have that dialogue without tags, while continuing to tag anything that comes after ch 15. So every time we officially finish a new section, we can start talking about it openly, perhaps.

I'd think we could do all without spoiler tags, since this is a re-read, and at least in theory people already know what happens. But anything is fine with me.

I thought Syl was a Windspren (sorry not sure, I've just started the Prologue - but that's my impression from the first read) - just a very odd one. Maybe something (ancient?) that sort of awakens once more?

Kaladin thinks her windspren at first but she is not. I'm conviced. Syl becomes stronger everytime Kaladin does desicions to help ppl. I think ordinary windspren would just react to wind.

I wondered about spoiler tags but used them 'cause those were used previously. I agree with Taika Sedai that we dont't need them
