Eh, honestly, if 250 a month is what works for people, that's fine. For me, the faster the better, because with really good books I can never put them down. I typically get very little sleep when I'm reading a good book or series because I read far into the night.

Maybe some people who like to go slower or don't have as much time can give suggestions on what an upper limit they'd be comfortable with would be?

I was wondering if we should do it by chapters... because I'm pretty sure that there are more than 1001 pages in my copy since it's paperback...

Ok let's shoot for getting to Chapter 15 "The Decoy", by Feb 18. As we go we can adjust depending on how fast or slow we go.

I'm wondering if this deserves its own new thread? Or perhaps just at least update the first post with chapters done by what date, so it's easy to keep track of.

I was thinking the same thing, I'll ask the forum moderator or one of the Aes Sedai before doing so (I don't want to presume too much being a newbie:))

    Sounds good!

I'm one of the slower readers ;) Two small kids, job, and reading many books at the same time makes the time per book not that much. But I think I'll manage that goal!

I'm with Taika Sedai, Chapter 15 by February 18 is a good goal. I'm tickled.

I agree with Eluial, and after talking to a senior member we decided that there should be a seperate thread for the re-read. I'll get it started and we can edit the first post whenever the goal changes. The thread is titled "The Way of Kings: Re-read" and is in this same forum - Non-WoT Literature and Fiction, unless someone decides to move it:p This is going to be fun!

I LOVE Way of Kings! :joy Tentative release for book 2 is in mid-November, if he makes sufficient progress by April. ^^ I'd join your reread, but I already made plans to do my own reread while blogging it. I'd love to talk to all you other fans and squee about its awesomeness anyway, though!

My favorite character was always Kaladin, and of course Syl, but after a couple rereads, Dalinar grew on me too. ^^
