You're not supposed to like Tresting
Chapters 10-12 this week. We are almost halfway through the book! Is anyone still reading, or is it just me?
I am! I am in the middle of Chap 10 right now ^_^
I've been in a reading slump and haven't read anything in a while...
I am slowly catching up I've read chapter 1.
Hey no worries! Before this year, I only read about..2 books in the previous two years combined. It gets hard sometimes, and especially when you have a kid.
I'm still on chapter 8, but I swear I'm going to get caught up this weekend or else next week when I'm on vacation!
Heh. heh heh. heh heh heh heh.
*starts reading furiously to catch up*
Vacations are great times to catch up on reading Which is why most of my luggage weight on trips consists of books
I never read at home anymore. Audiobooks on my commute is it!
Yeah, audiobooks are my new favourite thing as well Though I usually only listen to books I have already left
I finished Chapter 12 yesterday morning (back to tSR this morning ) and I had forgotten how... gruesome some of this story is.
Fantasy books in general can be very gory (at least in my opinion) and I tend to skim those parts bc I don't like that.... But yay for Audiobooks and listening to the entire description
WoT was my Fantasy world for a decade, I didn't read much else outside RJ, except for maybe Tad Williams. When I read Mistborn I was like :0
It was more gruesome than I was expecting. I was just so used to RJ's style.
Have you read "The Lies of Locke Lamora", by Scott Lynch, yet? If you haven't, I HIGHLY recommend the series (I love the books so much, I considered running a Gentlemen Bastards Mafia game at one point), but they are absolutely graphic. Enough to give me physical reactions when I read the descriptions he gives of.... certain things.
Gah I just finished chapter 8. I do not like gore
Thoughts so far - it's intriguing and I want to know what happens. I'm not feeling that into it, though. We'll see as I keep going.
I also forgot about the gore. Although it doesn't bother me personally, I am reading the copy that I bought for my sister (she never read it) and I'm now realizing this is probably too gory for her.
I'm a bit behind 'cause I was finishing the other book I'm reading (Seveneves by Neal Stephenson), but now that I'm done with that, I can catch back up on Mistborn!
Most excellent to hear!
Oh man I just finished chapter 26 (whoops, went way ahead)
Four more deaths.
Anyway, I'm probably going to finish the book today. I'm really into it now.
