Don't even get me started on THAT. :indifferent:

I just don't think I've ever read it while really seeing his attitude in that light. I've read the books several times, but it's different when you're reading them with other people and seeing their viewpoints and observations.

Yeah, Kelsier is a really interesting character. He clearly cares about people, but he also have no qualms about using people to meet his goals.

There is a reason he had to die. He would not have been good in the post-Lord Ruler world. He is a killer, an assassin, and he would not have managed to keep people behind him alive, like he did dead...

It has been so long that since I read the book that I forgot a lot of little details, but it's nice coming across this stuff again.

I finished Chap 7 only yesterday and it's fascinating reading Kel's actions and plan with this new perspective of his attitudes and motivation.

I did manage to finish up chapter 7! I have a flight to the UK coming up in a couple weeks when I expect I'll finish much of the rest of the book.

I enjoyed seeing the magic explained. I always find it interesting to see how authors introduce their magic system. I definitely got a sense of it in earlier chapters, and it being explained in-action helps to make it seem less expository, which some books sometimes fall into.

We are almost a month into the read!

WEEK FOUR:
Chapters 8 & 9 are for this week, as we keep up with more a page average than a chapter average.

How is Sazed pronounced? I've always pronounced it sah-zed and then his nickname as Says, but I have no idea if that's right.

It's definitely Sah-Zed. I only know that because Someone asked Brandon at a JCon way back and he said the name that way.

Ah, well. Audiobook readers often mispronounce fantasy names. *eyes the WoT audiobooks*

I decided to start the book over (again) since we're still less than 10 chapters in. Every time I feel less and less bad for Tresting, and I didn't feel bad to begin with.
