    Thaddius, on Preservation's name.
His name is Leras, per Word of Brandon, but it's never actually given in the Mistborn trilogy.

Thus, the bead of metal that grants allomancy in the Well of Ascension is lerasium, just like the solid manifestation of Ruin's power is atium.

You are not butting in. Feel free to post in the thread. You don't have to be in the re-read to chime in if you have something you'd like to say.

Thanks Rollyn/Arella. That's interesting. I do wonder what Ati meant by what he said, then.

I think that's a RAFO, Thaddius Sedai. Brandon is really secretive about it.

It is believed to be a planet

We shall keep reading! It'll keep me motivated to find out what Ati meant.

Yeah but I thought he was calling out for Preservation's vessel after he died. That was apparently not the case according to Rollyn's WoB link.

I'd like to get a sort of consensus.
Alloy of Law is (Based on the Hardcover) 306 pages. How many pages a week is acceptable to everyone? If I do it by a 40-50 page average, it'll take us seven weeks to get through the book. If anyone needs it to be faster or slower, please let me know so I can plan accordingly for a reading table.

I like how when Koloss die, their souls are still human when they appear in the Cognitive Realm. :) That's very cool.

:facepalm Really, Kelsier? You're the one who started that fight in Vin and Elend's camp? :lol :facepalm

Interesting thought: What would have happened if Kelsier had been able to get the IRE device to Vin? He managed to use it to a certain extent himself, but not as much as someone alive would be...

I love seeing this behind-the-scenes and them going to compare them with the actual scenes in Hero of Ages! :joy Kelsier trusting in Marsh and sacrificing himself again.... such an amazing scene. :joy

It’s crazy because my most iconic scene in the books that I still remember most to this day is when Marsh killed that guy that was carrying the inscribed metal. I don’t know why but it was so cool to see that scene referenced again and see that there was still humanity left in Marsh.

Awww, and Kelsier was the one who suggested that Sazed make Spook Mistborn! :joy

Just finished reading Secret History! I can't believe it took me this long to read it, but I'm glad I finally did. :)

Yes, and so much in Alloy of Law makes a lot more sense when we have this information. For instance, I now know that the Church of Survivor actually has some of its lore correct. It is not just based on the vague ideas we hear of in the "main" books, it is actually true that he Survived death :)

I do wonder now, if Sazed's personality will be at all altered by holding two shards as he is, or if he will retain his current demeanor.

I'd think it would still have to be, surely. Even though there's some sense in which the two shards are opposing forces, they still form a single shard entity now, Harmony, which over time must gradually bend Sazed's personality to this new Intent. Though hopefully that will often work out for the best for the Cosmere.
