They can't always be winners!
No, it is just very clearly a middle book. The first book could stand by itself. The second one sets the stage for the third book.
Though, on this reread I am remembering some important things that happens in this book as well
I have forgotten a lot about this book. I remember really liking it and staying up late every night to read it but 10 year later I can't really remember much about it
Yeah, it's been a while. I tried rereading it about a year ago, but had to give up... Now I kind of "have to", so I may be surprised
Maybe that's why it's been so hard for me to get back into reading it.
man come on Library, let me have a copy!!!
@Elia LePhant Do I need to mail you a copy?
Me too, Elia Sedai!!
You got this!
Holiday schedule + NaNoWriMo = I'll try to keep up.
ETA: Audiobook has been downloaded, so now all I have to do is see what chapter I'm on when I get home.
Chapter 3, but late book spoiler:
I was surprised that I never caught this on other reads, but when Vin is on top of the keep, she sees the body of preservation for a moment. I always thought it was something else.
Honestly, I was surprised when I reread this that a full year has passed since the events of the last book. But it makes sense. I mean, Straff has managed to travel to the Northern Dominance and back
That and the Western kingdoms have had time to send that Mistborn assassin to Luthadel.
That too... And a lot of crimelords have had time to assert themselves...
Update: Through the Magic of Audiobooks, i'm almost done with this book now.
I still haven't started
Do you have access to the book?
Yeah, I have it. I'm just lazy
Ah yes, the same problem I have.
I think we've all been there, Leira.
I finished the book over lunch break. I specifically didn't bring Hero of Ages with me, so I could digest it, and I'm kind of regretting that decision now.
