My parents always offer to get me something small for Christmas, I usually just say I want nothing... this time I think I will ask for this Usually I don't mind paying for the books I really want, but it's just like agh... I already own this on kindle and mass market paperback... so I really need this??? lol... but in a way I kind of do... this series changed my life and I would love to have it in proper hardback, especially a 30th anniversary that comes with goodies.

 

I want this one mainly for the alternative prologue, the "Ravens" chapter... But, as you say Ephrem, I can have that on Kindle or online at any time

 

Yeah I have 2 paperbacks and the hardback, but now I just have one more :shrug

 

I’ve got the hardback original but this one is a great one to add to the collection!

Is the only difference the cover, is the book the same?

I want to get all my hardbacks before the movie comes out and all the covers change! I sure hope they don’t do that!

If you have the original hardback I wouldn't worry about it. I want them all in paperback, not mass market, not hardback, just the bigger paperbacks, I saw them at my local library and they are perfect holding size.

 

I like to have the smaller paperbacks for when I am travelling. Perfect plane size

 

the mass market paperbacks are too thick and clunky for my taste, the regular paperback is just perfect, and the hardback is just too big and clunky. that being said... I mostly read on my Kindle Paperwhite these days... I have gotten used to ebooks and really don't mind it at all, I really hope they find a way to keep battery life good but make it lighter though. sometimes the Kindle does get a bit heavy.
