yeah that part of the family started the tradition of making shrimp alfredo on xmas eve... I usually bring pies/cake/desert of some kind... but she wanted me to try making crab rangoon

That's cool! Our tradition is to have peeled steamed shrimp and cocktail sauce on New Years eve, I don't know how it got started but it's been a thing for my whole life so I'll allow it

I am severely inexperienced with seafood. Should work on mending that sometime.

Both! Of course, I'm excluding the usual fish like trout, salmon, cod, catfish and the like. I have only had other seafood a few times that I can remember.

I highly recommend swordfish. Delicious! Shark is pretty good, too. There's a hibachi grill near me that offers shark. What kind, I have no idea.

So, I have just finished Winter's Heart...
WOW!!! The Cleansing of Saidin was epic! I also raced through all of Mat's chapters, they were so good. I don't know whether it was just the edition of my version of WH but it contained quite a few grammatical and spelling errors. Other than that it was brilliant!

We had the first parade of the season last Saturday. Just so you know Mobile had the first Mardi Gras and ours is more family friendly.

Oh I always wanted to see/experience a Mardi Gras. They celebrated carneval where I grew up, but it's a very different affair, people dress up and there's parades, but under very different weather conditions and there are no beads or people doing things to get them :p
