I was wondering our site go straight to the forum when you go to http://www.tarvalon.net ?

It seems out of line with most other fan groups.

17th Shard

Dark Jedi Brotherhood

Dragonmount

Westeros

The way the site seems to be made, you go to the forum and the Store, Library, TarValon Times all seem to be afterthoughts which are easy to miss because the menu bar blends into the banner.

If the TV series comes out and a lot of people end up looking at our site, what does the current site design say about us as an organization?

Hi Atreyu,

That's an excellent point, thanks for bringing to up!

Our team is planning to swap the default page from the forum to the main page and work is underway to make it happen.

Alenya and her team have been working hard to update our main page so that it's more friendly and inviting before we switch it to default there.

We've got a thread discussing this change over in the Exec Meeting Discussion forum, and we will be announcing the estimated date of the change before we swap it so everyone has a chance to save the direct link to the forum for convenience if they want.

Thanks for the great suggestion!

What happened to the plan of changing the landing page?

Just to be clear

This is not a criticism of anyone, I am genuinely curious

I do not mean to overstep, but last I know is that a new design is being worked on for the main page and the landing will be changed to the main page and not the forums for better SEO.
@Aleita Taviah and @Siera al'Cere probably know more.

It's still in the works! There are a bunch of moving pieces that make it not an easy switch as, but it is still in the works :pleased-1:
