Doing anther full re-read this year and I was not as enthralled as I have been in previous reads. the first 3 books are my favourite, but one thing that bugged me SO MUCH this time round, was how truly AWEFUL the lessons where. Literally the teachers would say, here is this thing we can do. Do it. and when you couldn't complete it class? practice for home work. . . :facepalm

That just shows how much dedication the teachers have to their students. Harry Potter always seems like the school was a little half-assed about things.

There is a podcast here in Norway where they read Harry Potter again and discuss it from an adult perspective. One of them is a education student, and he very much agrees with you about the lessons. He also calls for a social teacher, someone who take care of the students mental health, or just someone who actually monitors these students well-being...

Pahaha! could you imagine who Dumbledore would have picked for that?! :lol

But I'm glad I'm not the only one.

The closest they have is Madam Pomfrey, but she is more about physical injuries. :cheese

Yeah...I'm always reminded that the first few books really were meant for children when I re-read them. :lol
