So have I already messed up?

I'm just reading here which I should have done beforehand.

I didn't realise that there was a two name requirement for the forum membership. Nor did I expect an Avatar to be compulsory.

Anyway I started reading the Eye of the World, maybe 2003 to 2004, I was given it previously but then I had an appendectomy and was in hospital, I really read it for lack of else to do. I admit it really didn't grab me at the beginning. However by the time I read "The Dragon Reborn" I was very hooked on the series.

A few months ago I started a reread of the series but as I no longer had the paperbacks I had to purchase much of the series for an e-reader. However I skipped out the books around Winters Heart on this reread.

I've been thinking quite a bit about the world of the wheel of time, and the characters and I was surprised to see that there is a community that is still actively posting about it.

Anyway I look forward to lurking a bit and seeing what you are all posting.

Welcome, Athas.

You can email membership@tarvalon.net to request a surname :) Avatars are useful for other members to recognise you and certainly if you want to progress your membership you will need one but you haven't messed up at all by not having one right away. If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask.

Jarl Lewin, Thanks I probably won't stick around too much to being honest.

Leo, Thanks also.

I hope you will not just be lurking though :pleased-1:
I've not really got anything that interesting to say actually I joined to post in https://www.tarvalon.net/index.php?threads/times-wot-made-me-cry.19037/ as I had one that hadn't been mentione

Qamra Daielin - Thank you.

Actually I find the board layout a bit confusing. Is there a good map to what all the individual categories mean?

Welcome to TarValon!! How did you find us? :)
Thats a strange one. I never see forum posts on here for when I google WOT related matters. I saw someone in dragonmount mentioned something about tarvalon.net and on a whim typed that into the browser, actually expecting to get a expired domain. I didn't expect to see a community that was still posting about the books.

Welcome! I hope you find it interesting here and have fun here with us :pleased-1:
It looks interesting at the moment.

Welcome to Tar Valon, Athas! :D Hope you decide to stick around!

It's not so bad once you get familiar with the forums. Until then, just post where you are comfortable and maybe you'll decide to poke in the other forums.

Thanks yeah, I'm guessing I'll be mostly hanging around the book discussions.

Thanks Jaim. Are you named after Farstrider or is it just a coincidence.

Thank you
