Season 3 so far (SPOILERS for all released episodes!)

I am glad we got an episode on Rhuidean with no interruptions to other stories. I must admit I was more interested in Moiraine and her goings on than Rand's, sorry. I think the various Rands In Wigs threw me off...

I wasn't super fussed by Moiraine in the books but the show really makes me want to root for her. Rand needs to show her some RESPECT. When he said "that's not good enough." GURL. Moiraine has made it very clear she's on your side and you've not done enough to earn that attitude yet so shut the full cup.

I did want Egwene to have more to do than worry about Rand and look disconcerted in the background of his scenes, but I feel like she'll get her time in the spotlight again soon.

Yes, from the glimpse of episode 5 we get in the "extra" talk of the episode, Egwene will have her moments in the next episode.

As for the other episodes, I may have an unpopular opinion about Elaida. I'm having trouble hearing what she's saying, not a fan of her voice. (please don't shoot me :look:)
That would be Shohreh Aghdashloo. She has such a distinct voice and accent, I love her in EVERYTHING she does. Though I originally imagined her as Cadsuane (which I hope they completely remove from the show, because’s she’s a terrible character with no point to her entire arc), she does an excellent job as Elaida.
Do you just dislike her voice? Or do you have a problem understanding the accent?

They really did skip A LOT from the books. In the books this is after months of arguing after The Great Hunt, then him doing a ton of research in Tear regarding the Prophecies of the Dragon.

What I loved about those parts in the books is just how well Rand understood the prophecies while everyone else fumbled in the dark. He uses the prophecies as a kind of check list, whichI find so epic.

I think that's all stuff we're going to get either this or next season. There's a strong element of putting pieces together in the show, compared to what we all took for granted by book 3 in reading.

Dont worry, they haven't forgotten the red doors. Rewatch the bit where Min has a vision of Mat. Also, the there was a casting announcement the other day for an Eelfinn.
THERE WAS A CASTING ANNOUNCEMENT?!?! Does that mean we get Season 4??
:omg:

Unfortunately I think it was for later this season.

*grumbles and puts WoT S3 on in the background* I guess I'll just have to keep on doing my part to increase the 'view' count for this season.

But that is intriguing that we may see Eelfinn... 🧐

Some shenanigans with ter angreal connecting both locales maybe?

Yeah, I suspect the doorway will be in Tanchico, since that's where Mat is going and I doubt they'll all return from there this season.

I think so too. I don't have an issue with rearranging the order of travel - I was trying to figure out how they would do the red doorway event - currently I am at just one doorway in Tanchico. Which wouldn't be the worst change. We will have rand and gang in tear at the end of the season with the big
Moirane
cliffhanger. I can't see them having time to bring Matt et. al. to Tear given what happens in Tanchico.

Yeah, Tear will need some more build-up. Though Rand did mention having an army of Aiel at his back, and I think that's not quite in the cards.

I don't think we'll get to Tear this season. I'm not even sure Rand et al will leave the Waste. I think the season will stop roughly where the fourth book stops...
Agreed. The next three episodes probably will focus on Egwene, Perrin and Nyneave/Elain respectively, and then we’ll get back to Rand at the end of the season for the big finale.

With a sprinkling of Forsaken throughout.
